How to Send Large Files

by admin on September 21, 2007

How to send large files? That’s the question that inspired this site. I needed to send large files like spreadsheets, video and images that are two big for email. So how do I do it?

I want it to be easy, fast and secure. I want the recipient to have the same kind of experience. The send large files solution needs to fit the needs of the users. Some of us just need a single user solution, others will need an enterprise solution with many more features.

In the coming weeks we will dive in and find out what works and what doesn’t.

You should look at http://www.send6.com – it is a great site to send files quickly and easily and i was told last week they are going to offer free online file storage next month. I have been using send6 for 6 months and have never had a problem.

I am currently developing a web site that allows you to securely share files that are too big to e-mail. There are no file or size limits, no software to download and install, and it is 100% free. It also works on all platforms, including Windows, Mac and Linux.

The site is http://fileai.com/, and we are currently in open beta. If you happen to stop by and give it a try, we’d appreciate any feedback.

Thanks! 🙂
